Administrator Role

The Administrator, chosen by the Board of Trustees, is responsible for overseeing the Residence. They will always carry out their duties fairly and without bias.

Personal Responsibility and Kindness

Residents should take care of their own rooms, clothing, and personal items, keeping everything tidy, clean, and organized. Everyone is encouraged to be helpful, kind, and courteous to one another to ensure the community and harmony of the house is maintained.

Meal Times

Residents should come to the dining room promptly at the scheduled meal times. If you’re feeling unwell or have been excused by the Administrator, you don’t need to attend.

Laundry and Ironing

For safety and convenience, residents should not do personal laundry or ironing in their rooms or in the bathroom.

Visitors

Friends and family are always welcome to visit residents.

No Smoking

Smoking is not allowed in any part of the Residence.

Respect and Cooperation

Residents are expected to treat the Administrator and staff  respectfully and with cooperation. If you have any complaints or suggestions, please bring them to the Administrator’s attention. If the issue isn’t resolved, you can write to the House/Admission Committee of the Board. The Administrator and the staff will always treat residents with kindness and consideration.

Alcohol Use

Residents are allowed to consume alcohol in moderation.

Pets

Pets are not allowed on the premises, except for temporary visits by visitors’ pets.

Leaving the Residence

If you are having time away from the residence, please let staff know. It is helpful for us to know your destination and when you plan to return, for meal planning and your general safety.

Respecting Spaces

Please do not enter the kitchen, store-room, or other offices of the Residence without the Administrator’s permission. Also, kindly respect each other’s privacy and personal rooms.
