There are 20 rooms within Lonicera Hall with 5 being located in the Main ‘1841’ house which was extensively remodeled to the Victorian style in the early 1900’s by Gilbert and Maria Ganong. The Annex at the rear of the building was an extension built by the Maria F. Ganong Seniors Residence Inc. between 1935 and 1937 and added 14 rooms to the residence. The majority of rooms have private baths however some have half baths and the residents in those rooms share a common shower room. Details are noted in the table below.

* Room and Board is an all-inclusive offering and comprises Room rental, Food and Food Services, and Services. All residents have extensive use of the common areas within the house.

We arrange on-site weekly hair services with a third-party at an additional cost. Make an appointment that is convenient for you.

We provide weekly laundry service, ensuring residents always have clean clothes without the hassle. Bedding washed every other week.

Netflix

Lonicera Hall features a large screen TV and Netflix in the common living room, offering residents a cozy space to enjoy movies and shows together.

Housekeeping

We have an in-house housekeeper who is responsible for common areas within Lonicera. They also provide light housekeeping services, ensuring residents’ living spaces are clean and comfortable.

24/7 Staff

Care staff are available 24 hours a day. They are available to assist residents with some tasks like medication distribution, providing a level of comfort and well-being for residents.

Elevator and Chair Lift

Lonicera Hall is equipped with an elevator and stair chair-lift, ensuring all residents can move around the residence comfortably and safely.

Payment for Services

Lease payments are made by pre-arranged electronic funds transfer from your bank account, or by post-dated cheque. Payments are due on the 1st of each month.

Lease Termination Policy

To avoid any additional costs, please provide at least 30 days notice in writing. The lease will always end on the last day of the month following your notice period.

House Rules

Smoking is prohibited in the house. We have designated smoking area outside, if required.

If you enjoy a toddy or a glass of wine, we want you to feel welcome to continue to do so. We only ask that you use good judgment as your safety is our primary concern.

If you have plans to be away during any meal, please let us know.
